The striker joined Bagaga for his first training session this week hoping to feature in the side’s game against AmaZulu at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Nxumalo was linked with big PSL sides previously but being ruled out from playing sometimes due to suffering from epileptic seizures saw teams losing interest.
The striker went to play in the GladAfrica Championship league with the Urban Warriors in their first season in the second tier before securing a move away from the Mother City club for Absa Premiership action.
Reports suggested that Ajax didn’t want to sell the striker to interested clubs with Chiefs having tabled an offer for the striker.
Nxumalo left the club as a free agent to join Baroka. A Phakaaathi source confirmed that the striker was training with Wedson Nyirenda’s side.
“He is not only training with the club but they have already signed him. He is now a Baroka player,” said a source.
“PSL clubs have always been interested in him but Ajax didn’t want to sell him. But now Baroka has signed him after he left Ajax.”
