The former Chicken Inn forward and his friend Rodreck Mutuma, who is on the books of Saint-Éloi Lupopo in Congo, attended a social football match together in Harare.
Highlanders FC media relations officer Roland Moyo says the club wasn’t pleased with Katsvairo disobeying government orders.
Katsvairo claims he didn’t play any football on the day but watched from a distance. Moyo said the club would investigate what they described as an unfortunate incident after they asked all their players to train from home.
“The manager engaged Katsvairo who said he was not heavily involved as suggested but was watching from a distance,” Moyo was quoted by The Herald.
“Nevertheless, he was given a strong warning and told to observe lockdown procedures.”
