Chiefs, Pirates miss out on Cele and Konqobe
AmaZulu have announced the signing of Mhlengi Cele and Ayabulela Konqobe, thereby ending speculation about the players’ next destinations.

Cele and Konqobe were linked with moves to Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, respectively, but Usuthu have moved quickly to sign them.

“The players are officially signed with AmaZulu FC, and we’re pleased to have them. They are quality players who bring much needed quality in their respective positions,” AmaZulu general manager Lunga Sokhela told the club’s website.
The duo played for the NFD champions Thanda Royal Zulu last season. Amabhubesi’s status has since been bought by AmaZulu.
AmaZulu have also announced the signing of Sadat Ouro-Akoriko, Sduduzo Dlamini, Jabulani Ncobeni, Siyabonga Mbatha and Siyethemba Mnguni during the current transfer period.
