Chiefs midfielder attracts interest from Europe

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka could leave Amakhosi and play in Europe next season.

Maluleka is in his last year of his contract at Chiefs and word is that he has attracted interest from Scotland.

According to SunSport, Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers, who are coached by Steven Gerrard, have expressed interest in the former SuperSport United midfielder.

Maluleka’s agent Shaun Roberts says the player’s future will be discussed properly in the new year.

“It’s a delicate situation at the moment. Call me in the new year and we can have a proper conversation,” Roberts told SunSport.

“At the moment, George is happy at Kaizer Chiefs and obviously playing well and is a regular. I think we can sort of have a conversation properly in the new year.

“It’s not only Maluleka whose future at Chiefs is up in the air. Also, Bernard Parker is in the last year.”
