Chiefs have to serve the country – Bartlett

Amakhosi reserve team coach Arthur Zwane has been with Bafana Bafana as the assistant coach, while the club’s video analyst Mark Davy was also roped into the senior national team technical staff.

As Zwane was out on national duty, Bartlett had to take charge of the Chiefs reserves leading to their Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge, which they lost 1-0 at the Dobsonville Stadium last Saturday.

“It seems like more and more Chiefs people are getting call-ups, MDC coach and our video analyst, so it’s a little bit tough at times because it takes personnel away, but its serving the country and making sure that we can progress there,” said Bartlett.

“We try to make the best out of the situation, obviously stand-in as much as we can.”

Meanwhile, Chiefs have another video analyst Sinesipho Mali who is in Egypt with the National Under-23 for the Caf Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
