Ageless Mbesuma eyes record

Former Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates striker Collins Mbesuma is looking to get his name in the history books with another Premier Soccer League record.

The Zambian is to looking to emulate veteran goal-poacher Siyabonga Nomvethe as the oldest active striker in the whole of the Premier Soccer League. Nomvethe came out of retirement at the age of 42 to sign for Uthongathi FC.

Mbesuma is still 35 years old and is confident that he can go well beyond 40.

“Don’t be deceived by his body mass, the guy is fit and he wants to be around for the next 10 years or so,” said a source close to the AmaTuks striker.
