The SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) on Monday congratulated Fikile Mbalula for retaining his position of Minister of Sport and Recreation.

“We are extremely pleased that our Sports Minister has retained his position,” Sascoc chief executive Tubby Reddy said in a statement.
“This will mean that we are able to continue with the hard work we have already started and are together able to continue taking South African sport to a greater level.”
Mbalula assumed office on November 1 2010, succeeding Makhenkesi Stofile.
