Would you pay R25K to watch the Springboks and All Blacks?

The Springboks’ Rugby Championship Test against the All Blacks at Newlands next month has been controversial on many fronts.

Firstly, many have questioned the choice of venue – New Zealand enjoy playing in the Cape.

Then, of course, there was an outcry over the ticket prices that they ranged between R450 and R950 for seated areas.

And lastly, only 22 000 tickets were available after sponsors and shareholder took their cut.

Those seats were sold out within an hour.

If you missed out, don’t worry: you can buy 10 for R25 000!

An “entrepeneur” earlier this week posted this enticing deal on the popular but controversial platform, Gumtree.

According to the ad, R25 000 buys you six category one seats plus four places in the standing areas.

However, if you’re planning to take family and friends, don’t bother – you’ll be sitting scattered and alone.

The seller clearly states the four tickets on the Jan Pickard stand aren’t together.

Also, you can’t buy and individual ticket.

This person wants you to snap up all 10!

Ironically, had you been able to buy these tickets by yourself, it would’ve set you back R 6480.

It’s still R 18 250 less than the price on this deal!

Given that it’s probably going to be a meaningless game anyway, you get the feeling these “prime tickets” might yet go unsold…
