There were also good wins at the weekend for Paarl Boys High, Affies and KES.

Paarl Gymnasium pulled off a big win in schools rugby on Saturday when they edged Grey College in Bloemfontein 43-31.

In an exciting game, with plenty of quality attacking rugby, the teams were level 24-all at half-time.

Paarl Gym remain unbeaten this season, while the defeat for Grey was their first loss of the season and their first defeat on home soil since 2017.

In the Western Cape, Paul Roos beat Bishops in the Mother City 46-10, while Paarl Boys High hammered Rondebosch 55-12, also in Cape Town.

In the Eastern Cape, Grey High were too good for Dale, winning 43-3 in King William’s Town, while Queen’s beat Selborne 40-22 at home.

In the NoordVaal region, Affies won away from home at Garsfontein 41-25, while King Edward edged close rivals Parktown 17-14 at home. Pretoria Boys High, hosting Maritzburg College, suffered a 28-45 defeat in the capital.
