Petersen back in the No 15 jersey for Stormers

Outside backs Sergeal Petersen and Sihle Njezula have been selected to start for the Stormers when the Cape-based team are next in action, against Griquas, in Kimberley on Tuesday.

Petersen will run out at fullback in place of the injured Tristan Leyds and Njezula will get a chance to show what he can do on the right wing.

The game will kick off at 4.45pm at Tafel Lager Park.

Coach Rito Hlungwani has also made changes on his bench, following his team’s defeat in their first game of the series at the Cape Town Stadium last weekend.

Props Kwenzo Blose and Lee-Marvin Mazibuko, along with loose-forward Evan Roos and flyhalf Chris Schreuder, will all probably get a chance to make an impact later in the game.

Hlungwani said that the trip to Kimberley would be a big challenge for his players.

“Griquas are always highly motivated when they play us and we are looking forward to rising to meet that challenge,” said the stand-in coach.

“It has been a good week of preparations and everyone is excited to get to Kimberley and show what we have planned.”
