Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will accompany Saru when they present South Africa's bid for the showpiece tournament.


The South African Rugby Union will present its bid to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup to the World Rugby Council in London on Monday.

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will lead a high-level delegation and will be supported by Sport and Recreation Minister Thulas Nxesi and Deputy Minister Gert Oosthuizen.

President Jacob Zuma isn’t available because he’s leading the South African delegation to the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
