Siya Kolisi’s agent, Hilton Houghton, has hit out at rumours linking the Springbok captain with a move to England after next year’s World Cup, calling it “irresponsible”.
The 27-year-old’s stock has soared in recent weeks after the All Blacks labelled him as one of the best players in the side, seemingly prompting him to deliver one of his best performances ever in a national jersey at Loftus last week.
It didn’t take long for whispers to surface linking him to a move, specifically to English giants Saracens.
“There’s absolutely no truth to the irresponsible rumour regarding Siya. He’s not going anywhere,” Houghton told IOL.
“I will meet with stakeholders in due course, being SA Rugby and WP.”
Kolisi is currently on a national contract but the maximum term for these type of agreements is two years.
