New faces in SA’s lawn bowls Gold Squad

For the first time, three black South African bowlers have been included in the elite Bowls SA Gold Squad of 16 from which the Proteas are selected.


They are Commonwealth Games triplets gold medallist Prince Neluonde, SA Open Singles champion Morgan Muvhango and Gauteng’s promising Victor Siphali.

The women’s squad sees the return of Proteas player Rika Lynn and the inclusion of Roxanne Tingle (21) of Gauteng.

Gold Squad:

Men: Brendan Ainley, Gerry Baker, Pierre Breitenbach, Stephan de Jager, Bobby Donnelly, Jason Evans, Rudi Jacobs, Shawn Jansen van Vuuren, Morgan Muvhango, Prince Neluonde, Thinus Oelofse, Wayne Perry, Conrad Potgieter, Wayne Rittmuller, Nick Rusling, Victor Siphali.

Women: Tracy-Lee Botha, Sylvia Burns, Elma Davis, Louise Larkin, Rika Lynn, Annelie Mathewson, Tracy Meyeridricks, Geraldine Moodaley, Susan Nel, Nici Neal, Colleen Piketh, Esmé Steyn, Anneke Snyman, Rene Swanepoel, Roxanne Tingle, Bronwyn Webber.
