Trainer Dean Kannemeyer continues to have a steady stream of winners and he can add to that list with Tripandie in Race 6, a MR 74 Handicap over 1400m on the Polytrack.
This lightly raced four-year-old has had just five starts to date but has shown nice ability and was full of running when winning his latest start.
Tripandie was a decent runner-up on debut back in 2014 behind Dreamuponadream and followed it up a month later when beating Big King.
Two unsuccessful races followed but when returning this year Tripandie came from a long way back to beat subsequent winner Buster Brown by an increasing 1.25 lengths.
Jockey Anthony Delpech was aboard Tripandie in his last two starts and the step up to 1400m should suit.
Earlier on in the card, Race 2, a Maiden Plate over 1000m it may pay to be with Seattle Light from the Robbie Hill yard.
This gelding ran by far his best race to date in his latest and the drop back to 1000m seemed to suit.
Jockey Brandon Lerena will need to overcome an outside 9 stall but the field does look only modest and he has every chance of winning.
Variable Pitch and One O Won will not go down easily though.
The Dennis Drier yard is in decent form and Sky Castle will carry the hopes of a lot of people in Race 5, a FM 70 Handicap over 1400m.
This filly is holding form well and gets the benefit of a decent draw.
