It is with the Mike Bass trained Line Break that we will be with in Race 7 at Kenilworth today. The Dynasty gelding has won three of his five starts to date with two of those wins coming over this course and distance. The three-year-old looked progressive before disappointing last time when he finished fifth to fellow runner in this Mister Matchett.

His usual good kick at the finish was not forthcoming that day but a 1.50 kg turnover at the weights will at the very least make it a lot closer this time. Hopefully there will be quick early gallop so we can see Line Break use his strong finish. Jockey Aldo Domeyer replaces the usual rider Grant van Niekerk.

Stable companion Spirit Of Hamilton reeled off two good wins over a bit further before being sent to compete in some feature races in Gauteng and he could easily be good enough to win this. Uncle Jim and the down-in-class Asstar are two others who hold winning chances.

In Race 5, a Fillies and Mares 85 Handicap the progressive Sassy Sal could pull off a hat-trick. This Australian import took a couple of runs to find her best form but was full of running to win her last two races. This 2000m suits her just fine and regular pilot MJ Byleveld is back aboard.
