Snaith yard is set for a good day
Former South African Champion trainer Justin Snaith is on record as saying he will be having a full go to re-claim the championship - read into that what you will - and he looks to have a strong hand at the race meeting at Durbanville today.

His day will start in the first race where he has two first-timers carded. Both Paxos and Golden Run will need to be above average to finish ahead of Twenty Four Carat and likely winner Glanto.
Race 3 sees Arezzo from the Snaith yard looking hard to beat and probable banker for all exotics. The ultra-consistent Arezzo took a long time to shed his maiden tag but followed that up with a decent fourth place in the Grade 3 East Cape Derby.
Unfortunately for his connections that resulted in a six point penalty which has made it difficult for Arezzo to win.Clearly though the Go Deputy colt was not disgraced in his third place behind Parachute Man last time out.
This course and distance suits and jockey Bernard Fayd’Herbe will be aboard. The Glen Puller yard is in good form and his runner Mambo Square has to be respected.
Justin has three runners carded in Race 4 and the best of them could be Bella’s Empire. This Australian-bred filly has been improving in each start and looks ready to run a big race. Another Snaith-Fayd’Herbe runner Star Express looks the likely winner in Race 5.
This Silvano three-year-old was an unlucky loser of her last start and unless this track proves too tight for her come-from-behind style of running, she could be a winner.
Although returning from a 122-day break the three-year-old Captain Swarovski could be best of the Snaith runners in Race 6 but stable companion Seize The Throne would not be a shock winner.
Sunset Tripp is capable on her day but perhaps a place cheque is the best she could do for her trainer in Race 7. Petty Officer, Fear Not, Secret Society and Aliysa’s Prize look the four to concentrate on.
Both Entrechat and Just Rock ‘N Roll hold winning chances in the lucky last race.
