S’manga can shine at Flamingo Park

Wild And Windy could provide him with one in Race 7, a MR 72 Handicap over 1200m, at Flamingo Park today.

Khumalo has been outstanding aboard Wild And Windy, getting the gelding home to win his last three starts.

Joining the Vernon Rugg yard and racing on this surface has clearly brought about a good change of form. The six-year-old started his winning run on 15 September and all three wins have been over this course and distance.

A draw in stall No 8 will make it a little difficult for Khumalo but hopefully he can get Wild And Windy well placed.

If Wild And Windy does not run up to expectations a number of the other runners are in with a chance.

Fly Me High is 1kg better off with Wild And Windy for a neck defeat last time, although the latter seemed to always have his measure in running.

Secret Delight is a hard horse to ride as he seems to lose interest midway through a race, but he does quicken if they go quickly, so he could earn stake money.

Protea Song ran a much improved race behind Wild And Windy last time, is getting the hang of sand racing and can be expected to finish a lot closer this time.

Eye For Emeralds, Tiger Tales and Random Al are all capable of running well over this track and trip and should be respected.
