Silver Banshee can earn gold

The three-year-old Great Britain filly Silver Banshee who runs in Race 4 at Kenilworth today, has shown promise in her first three starts.

After finishing a close up fourth to Star Academy on debut the three-year-old won her next start beating subsequent winner Icy Fire.

Jockey Corne Orffer was board her for that win and has kept the ride ever since.

Silver Banshee tried very hard in her next start when runner-up and not beaten far by Acaciawood over the Durbanville 1000m.

Back up the straight may suit her better and she will be doing her best work late.

Candaleeyah and Rebel’s Idol look her main dangers.

There are many first timers making their debut in Race 1 and any one of them could be good enough to win but it may pay to be with Twenty Four Carat as a place prospect bet.

This Dupont colt is holding his form and should be track and trip suited.

Trainer Justin Snaith looked to have Race 2 covered with his two runners Arniston and It’s My Turn.

However the scratching of It’s My Turn leaves Snaith’s hopes solely in the hands of Arniston.

He would be giving away 4.50kg and more to his opposition if this were a handicap so he must be respected but has run disappointingly in a graduation plate before.

The Mike Bass-trained Kryptonite and the Joey Ramsden-trained Mulher De Branco look the likely Exacta in Race 3.

Kryptonite has more experience and might just get the edge.

Another race where only two runners could be used in exotic bets is Race 6 where Capstone Von Kluh and Royal Badge stand out.

The Adam Marcus yard is in good form and Royal Badge could be even better over this 1600m trip.

Sea Glass was a runaway winner two runs back over this track and trip but looked very lucky to win her next as she just got a narrow verdict over Evoke Emotion.

A further two points adjustment to her merit-rating will ensure she will need to have improved further to win Race 7.

She may well have made that improvement as she is lightly raced and could be fresh off her 80-day break.

Topless and Good Grace are two others to consider.

Bora Bora is improving with each run and looks the banker bet of the day in the lucky last race.
