Sarah and Canadian should Bolt to victory

TALENTED. Happy Pills and Lyle Hewitson team up for what could be another success in Race 6 at Turffontein tomorrow.
Whenever the jockey-trainer combination of champion Lyle Hewitson and Paul Peter teamed up in KwaZulu-Natal, backing them has been financially rewarding, and such should be the case at Scottsville on Sunday afternoon – specifically in Race 2.
Although you won’t get rich going the straight Win route, Sarah looks a confident BiPot and Place Accumulator banker when she lines up in the Fillies Maiden Juvenile Plate over 1100m.
This daughter of What A Winter was backed to 22-10 on debut but could only manage fourth place and although she remains a maiden, sparked tremendous improvement in her most recent performance when dead-eating for third at the Vaal, beaten a diminishing 1.70 lengths by What You Are over the minimum trip.
Interestingly, Hewitson rode Sarah’s main danger Royal Splurge (now ridden by Anton Marcus) over her last two performances, finishing third in penultimate outing and an even closer runner-up in most recent showing.
It appears Hewitson has opt-ed to ride Sarah which, if this ob-servation is correct, could suggest Peter’s charge is the right horse to back.

One of Hewitson’s best rides is easily Canadian Bolt, who hasn’t been disgraced since winning his barrier trial in July last year, unluckily being forced to settle with the runner-up position in three of his four starts, and a third.
This will mark this gelding’s fourth run a er a layoff so he will be at peak fitness.
If not ring-rusty following a 116-day layoff , Flichity By Farr, trained by Alyson Wright and another runner to be riden by Hewitson, should have no trouble outclassing her rivals in Race 7, the umThombothi Stakes Non-Black Type.
