The Queen can over achieve

Clearly The Queen took on more than she could chew in the Flamingo Sprint earlier this month at this track but she was by no means disgraced by finishing four lengths behind talented sprinter Varbration.

This Overlord mare now drops in class to a MR 78 and could win Race 7 over 1000m at Flamingo Park today.

Trainer Corrie Lensley is probably having his best year winners-wise of his career and it is worth noting leading Northern Cape jockey Muzi Yeni has been given the ride.

The main danger looks to be Secret Delight but this gelding was 3.75 lengths behind The Queen when they last met and is only 2kg better off.

In his favour though is that bang in form Andrew Fortune will now be aboard. Over Achiever was looking for four wins in a row before disappointing last time but that run can safely ignored and she should prove hard to beat in Race 3, a Mr 75 Fillies and Mares Handicap.

Jockey Gunter Wrogemann knows the AP Arrow filly well, having been aboard her when she won over 1400m and 2200m at this course recently.

The 1800m distance will suit Over Achiever. Nisa’s Love with jockey Fortune looks the only real threat. Star Of Burma has been placed in both starts at this track so his last two runs can be safely ignored and place punters might want to start with a nice strike on him in Race 1 to build a bank for the oncoming exotics.

Clearly the 2400m of his last run was too far for this Mogok gelding, and he drops back to 1000m.
