There are some horses who have not raced on the surface and there are others with form on the sand but with a bad draw. Over 1450m at this track the draw plays a major role.
For the Place Accumulator you will need to consider a number of horses and I am leaning towards Willow Magic as he is definitely the class horses in the field. I’ve ridden him in the past in races not ideally suited to him.
Over 1200m he was carrying level weights with some of the top horses was unable to compete so trainer Sean Tarry’s other options were to run him in other races over 1600m and 1800m that, in my opinion, were too far.
This is his ideal distance and if he takes to the sand he could quite easily win this race, especially as he has a lot of early speed. But be aware he could also fluff his lines at the start.
