A very difficult card awaits punters at Fairview’s Polytrack meeting today, but that will not stop us trying to find a winner or three.
Dynamite has not exactly exploded since making a promising start to his career, but he has done fairly well since joining the Tara Laing yard and could take out Race 5, a Novice Plate over 1200m.
Jockey Donavan Mansour did well to get the five-year-old gelding home in third behind Buckinghampshire on the turf over 1000m in his latest and the switch back to the artificial surface should not be a problem, especially as Dynamite is well drawn.
With it being a novice plate, one is naturally inclined towards the better-rated horses and Wicked Lass and Picture Book head that list.
Wicked Lass has fair recent form and has cracked pole position draw, but does seem to lack a finish when she really needs it most.

Petite Paramor in Race 2, a Maiden Plate over 1300m, improved nicely with the aid of blinkers. The further she goes should be for the better, so a slight step up in trip to 1300m could see her get out the maiden ranks.
A deep draw of 12 appears to be her biggest obstacle. Experienced jockey Francois Naude has been given the ride.
Cruzcampo looked good when winning his first two starts and was not disgraced in his next three. He could resume his winning form in the lucky last, a MR 72 handicap over 1600m.
The form of the Yvette Bremner yard is a bit worrying, but Cruzcampo has the ability to prove too good for these rivals.
