Unfortunately those kind of predictions are usually the kiss of death for the person concerned but Marcus should get a good ride out of Flyfirstclass in Race 5 on the Polytrack, a MR 95 Handicap over 1200m. He has ridden Craig Eudey’s charge on a number of occasions and has established a good rapport with the five-year-old Kahal gelding.
Flyfirstclass had a shocking debut on this course, finishing at the back of an eight-horse field, 18.50 lengths behind Island Fiesta. He was reported not to be striding out and he put that run behind him last time out when, with Marcus back in the irons, he led from start to finish to beat Eternal Jet by 0.50 lengths over 1400m.
This is his best distance and Flyfirstclass should be able to hold this field at bay.
