With the highest win strike-rate in the country at a mind-boggling 31.77% there is clearly no better jockey to follow than Anton “Superman” Marcus at the moment.
He has his eyes on the national jockeys’ championship title – and thanks to an abundance of great rides at Scottsville on Sunday afternoon – all with solid winning chances, it appears the veteran is likely to extend his lead atop the log so it could pay handsomely to go the TAB All-To-Come route.
The suggested multiple will feature wins on Home Ruler in Race 2 and Amex in Race 3 and lastly places on Father’s Frost in Race 4 and Tribal Fusion in Race 5.
Home Ruler showed absolutely no interest in her barrier trial, but caught the eye in her debut effort, making up tremendous ground to lose by a rapidly diminishing 1.80 lengths.
Although Dennis Drier’s charge showed further improvement in her follow-up when finishing a close-up third behind Extravargant over this course and distance, she was unfortunately restless and slow out the gates, proving that she was beaten by in-experience more than anything.
She easily has the most encouraging form in the field so a loss is highly unlikely.
Interest-ingly, Amex, whom Marcus rides in Race 3, a FM Maiden Plate over 1600m, finished ahead of Home Ruler in their latest encounter.
Therefore, should the latter win Race 2 it will strengthen Amex’s case.
Nathan Kotzen’s charge seems to have found her niche over the 1200m trip having finished second in two consecutive starts.
This Quartet looks catchable so consider floating Thru’ The Trees and Amex with Leanna, Call Me Tonight, Roy’s Novice, Just Nats, Whisperinthewind and Orient Express.
