Make a Strategic Move on the Polytrack

This Strategic News filly beat subsequent winner Euthenia over 1200m in September last year.

A tough looking card awaits punters today but one filly who might be worth a bet is Strategic Move in Race 7, a FM 76 Handicap over 1600m on the Greyville Polytrack. Bringing Strategic Move to race on the Polytrack has proven to be the right choice by trainer Sean Tarry as she has won three of five starts on the surface.

This Strategic News filly beat subsequent winner Euthenia over 1200m in September last year.

She also beat Off Ramp over 1400m in November and in January was 1.25 lengths too good for Whatawondafulworld over 1200m.

The step up to 1600m should not be a problem as she usually finishes off her races well.

Dennis Drier-trained horses are also in very good form and Money Penny is sure to be involved at the finish. Money Penny has held her form well since winning in August last year.

Miss Nightingale did well to overcome a wide draw when winning her latest and is another to consider. The Andre Nel yard sends out two mares who have very good recent form in Race 6, a FM Handicap over 2000m, but they may find the improving Zavaroni a tough one to beat.

Zavaroni has won her last two starts over the course and distance. She beat Seattle Belle in January then followed up by beating Jet Turbine (who runs in this) this month.

The National Emblem filly did pick a huge seven-point penalty for her last win, which brings Jet Turbine closer to her at the weights.

Jet Intombi and Tristan Godden have proved a formidable team but also have to overcome an eight-penalty for her easy last win.

Looking for a banker bet on the card was a difficult, but Majix in Race 8, a Maiden Plate over 1400m could be the one.

This Argonaut gelding has improved with every of his three starts and looks ready to win from a good draw.
Sean Veale will ride the Dennis Drier-trained three-year-old.
