This son of Miesque’s Approval is suited to this track and trip and was full of running when winning his latest over similar. The handicapper took note of the easy win over Akii Bua and has risen him 5 points.
Kentucky Guest is drawn favourably in stall No 2 but as he is at his best when left for a late run he is likely to be dropped off for a late challenge.
Jockey Keegan de Melo is booting home winners consistently and was aboard Kentucky Guest when winning and retains the ride.
With the scratching of Candy Moon, Warcraft and Royal Colours look the biggest threat to Kentucky Guest.
Royal Colours has won his last six on the trot, with five of those races being handicaps so clearly he has had the measure of the handicapper but this really is the strongest company he has met so he will need to have improved.
Jockey Sean Cormack has been exceptional in timing his runs on Royal Colours and is again aboard.
Warcraft is a big smashing sort and won well on the Polytrack in August and will be receiving 2kg from Kentucky Guest and 4.50 kg from Royal Colours so should be in the firing line.
