It is time for a revolution

French Revolution has proven himself below the very best in the country but on his day shows ability and Race 7, a MR 86 Handicap over 1950m at Scottsville on Sunday could be the stepping stone he needs to regain some winning form.

This New Zealand-bred gelding was runner-up behind Trip To Rio on the Greyville Polytrack in his latest start.

That run was pretty decent and one can totally ignore his previous start in the Derby over a distance that seems too far for the grey gelding.

His major threat is likely to come from the Anton Marcus- ridden, Glen Kotzen-trained Rap Attack. This Go Deputy gelding is holding his form nicely and is distance- suited.

Marcus could start the meeting on a winning note as his ride in Race 1 Rand Hedge is overdue for his first win and the 1200m at this track seems to suit him nicely.

At a MR of 84 it is hard to see him being in the maiden ranks for much longer.

Marcus could also be on the right runner, Elusivenchantment in Race 2 as well.

This filly was full of running when winning her last start and is clearly well above average.

Race 5, a MR 80 Handicap over 1400m looks very open but we could get a run out of Qeyaadah.

We have not seen the best of this Australian colt yet and is at his very best over this distance.

The Marcus-Charles Laird combination is lethal when in form and they team up with Buffalo Soldier in Race 6.

This Warm White Night gelding should be well suited to the course and distance.
