Indian Hawk to swoop at Fairview

However, one must remember that some people walked away from the meeting with huge profits and that piece of knowledge should be good enough to bring pundits back into the fold. One has to remember that last week’s meeting was originally due to take place on the turf and the weather forced a move to the Polytrack. Many of those runners had not produced much on the Polytrack so to a large extent, punters were in the dark.

This week there are a number of horses with strong form on the Polytrack who are worth following and who should help punters retrieve the losses of last week.

Main race is the Founders Trophy (Non-Black Type) over 1600m and newly installed champion trainer Justin Snaith could win with Indian Hawk. The six-year-old also has a good record on this track and has won his only start over the course and distance. He ran a shocker last time but that was on the turf and the run should be ignored. He is well drawn at No 2 and has talented apprentice Louis Mxothwa, who cannot claim his allowance, aboard.

The others to consider are Silent Partner, Two Gun Kid and Cannon.
