Hear the roar of the sea

Some hard knocking types go to post in this so it is a bit of a surprise to see trainer Alan Greeff throw his three-year-old Roaring Sea into the mix .

Although never too scared to take on his rivals Greeff could probably have found an easier target than this.

The Sail From Seattle’s standout win however was over this course and distance when thrashing The Leader Boy by 4.25 lengths in June.

Jockey Greg Cheyne had previously got the best out of Roaring Sea and his last run when third to Asgard over the 1300m was indeed a good run as he pulled very hard in the early stages and was only outpaced late.

The drop in trip is sure to suit and if jockey Cheyne is prepared to let Roaring Sea stride this gelding could go start-to-finish.
Recent Gavin Smith recruit Guantanamera and Guided Arrow look the main dangers.

Guantanamera returns after a 100-day break so may be in need of the run but has a good fourth place to Mr Whatever on the Polytrack at Greyville to his name. Look to this gelding to be doing his best work late.

Guided Arrow is very speedy and her trainer Yvette Bremner is enjoying a real purple patch.

This mare has run some gallant races in defeat but has not won for some time.

For those punters needing bankers for the Bipot one need look no further than Sleepinseattle in Race 1 and Bolt Of Light in Race 3.
