Gogetthesheriff can gun down his opposition
Apart from the meeting at Fairview last Friday, when the bet paid R32,330, the Pick 6 has been tricky to catch, often yielding six-figure payouts or the pool not being won in its entirety.

The bet on the Polytrack meeting there today is as demanding.
Those who want to take a chance on a banker in their bets could do worse than rely on Jacques Strydom-trained Gogetthesheriff in Race 7, a MR89 Handicap over 1800m. He has thrived since moving to Port Elizabeth from Johannesburg and has won both his starts there.
He made his Fairview debut last month in a MR 72 Handicap over 1200m and took off in the closing stages, making up more than 6.50 lengths to beat Convariance by a neck.
Sent over a distance he would have enjoyed more, 1600m at Fairview on Monday, he again won well, beating Briar King by 1.50 lengths.
Both those runs were on the Polytrack and Gogetthesheriff might be handed a penalty for that latest effort. However, he is in fine form and seems to be on the upgrade, so should follow up again.
Lord Badger, who finished 3.35 lengths behind Gogetthesheriff on Monday, has also run against both Spellcaster and Cinderfella before. These three runners represent Gogetthesheriff’s most threatening opposition.
Spellcaster beat Lord Badger on two occasions on the Polytrack earlier this year before having the tables turned in an 1800m feature over 1800m on the turf last month, when they finished third and seventh, four lengths apart, behind Blaze Of Fire. Lord Badger went on to beat Cinderfella by 1.75 lengths but is 2.5kg worse off with his rival.
So collateral form suggests that Gogetthesheriff should also have the beating of Cinderfella and Spellcaster.
Looking deeper into the form, claims for an upset can be made for all the other runners in the field as well, but it might pay to rely on Gogetthesheriff.
