Follow Alan Greeff and Greg Cheyne

They have no runners in the main race, the Craddock Place Stakes (Non-Black Type) over 1200m, but their good run should begin in Race 1 where they team up with Newcrest. The Visionare colt was heavily backed to win on debut but inexperience seemed to be his downfall. He lacked a finish and could only manage fifth place.

Switched from the turf to the Polytrack Newcrest was found to be not striding out and clearly the distance of 1000m was too short for the colt. His next start was his best as Newcrest quickened up nicely to end up as runner-up to My Friend Fred over 1300m on the Polytrack.

That run hinted his winning turn was not far away and the step up to 1600m looks the right way to go.

Greeff has four of the 11 runners in Race 2 and the best should be the once-raced Nancy Carol. The Western Winter filly showed promise on debut and will go close. Reevas Queen will be the danger after two fair runs.

Greeff has three runners in Race 3, and although both Princess Faberge and Miss Friskie have ability, they both might be hard pressed to get the better of Blizzard Belle and House Of Lorraine.

Race 4 is a Novice Plate and Kumiko is weighted to win and should do just that.

Race 5 is also a plate race and although she is slightly out at the weights Ideal World filly Love Everlasting could prove the right one. This filly was full of running when beating subsequent dual winner Blue Dawn easily over this distance in June.

As far as the Craddock Place Stakes is concerned this should go to The West Is Wide.

The Tara Laing-trained runner has won his last two starts and this longer trip of 1200m should not be a problem. With Raymond Danielson in the irons, he the one to beat. Copper Parade and Vauclair are the main dangers to The West Is Wide faces.
