Favourites to help punters celebrate new year

Today starts a cracking eight days of racing in Singapore, including the Chinese New Year celebrations on Wednesday.

Those punters that like them “short and sweet” will be keen to jump on a newcomer from the Clements stable in Siam MP in Race 4.

This three-year-old US-bred gelding has found a very winnable race on debut and given his excellent trial form and a handy pull in the weights, can win with heavy support likely.

Favourite punters can follow up in Race 5 with another three-year-old in Ararat Lady hard to beat.

This filly showed potential on debut before winning at start two and a subsequent very good trial suggests she has trained on and can get the job done again with Michael Rodd staying on board.

There is plenty of value to found with more than half the Class 3 field having serious winning hopes in Race 7 and Satellite Winner looks well-placed in the lucky last to have an Eachway go.
