Dynamic Force to strike at Greyville Polytrack

Do not rule out five-time winner Tipo Tinto (S’manga Khumalo) from Gavin van Zyl’s stable.

Dennis Bosch-trained Dynamic Force, who has taken a definite liking to the Greyville Polytrack, looks the one to beat at the venue today when he lines up with Anthony Delpech in Race 5, a MR 76 Handicap over 1400m.

Previously trained by Colin Scott, the three-year-old started his career with two well-beaten thirds with Delpech aboard over 1200m and 1000m at Scottsville. However, when switched to the Polytrack next time he was a bright 1.25-length second over 1200m with Delpech up again.

The gelding can be excused for being unplaced at Scottsville next time when ridden by Anton Marcus in his first run for Bosch’s stable, because he finished lame. Returning after a short rest and equipped with blinkers for the first time and reunited with Delpech at the Polytrack, the gelding was a fast-finishing two-length maidens winner over 1200m. Grant van Niekerk had the ride next time when a promising two-length runner-up in 1400m MR 74 Handicap at the Polytrack. The gelding will enjoy carrying 54.5kg again and should go one better this time.

Do not rule out five-time winner Tipo Tinto (S’manga Khumalo) from Gavin van Zyl’s stable. This Australian-bred seven-year-old has yet to win at the Polytrack but has been threatening a win here for a while. The gelding continues sliding down the merit-rating scale and, stepping down in class this time, he could make his presence felt.

Also in with claims is Dean Kannemeyer-trained four-time winner Surrey. Two of his six runs at the Polytrack were wins and there were valid excuses given for his two unplaced runs at the venue. The five-year-old returns after a two-month rest and, if fully recovered from the setback, he will be involved in the finish.

The pick of the remainder are Buster Brown, Roy’s Force and Teppanyaki.
