Corne can blow them away
With most of the big yards now stepping out their better horses in preparation for the summer season, Race 6, a Mr 68 Handicap over 1300m could be the most interesting race at Durbanville today and Blow Me Away is taken to score.

This Brett Crawford-trained three-year-old raced green on debut but the penny did drop late and he was making up ground quickly towards the finish when fourth to Night In Seattle over 1200m at Kenilworth last month.
The Right Approach colt started at 66/1 indicating he was not expected to run as well as he did so it is worth noting in his second start he justified some heavy betting support by winning comfortably over this course and distance.

Blow Me Away showed a good turn of foot so his temporary merit-rating of 77 seems a bit low and he could be taking advantage of that even if it happens not to be this time.
Trainer Dean Kannemeyer has only had a handful of winners this season in the Western Cape but the yard does appear back on track and Captain Alfredo justified good betting support on debut when beating Tiger Rider by 3.50 lengths. The step up in distance should not be a problem for the Captain Al colt and jockey Karl Neisius gets the bonus of pole position draw.
Fellow three-year-olds Chester’s Wish and Parachute Man have both shown ability to date and have to be considered. While Parachute Man looks to be an improving sort he may need further to be at his very best.
Chester’s Wish disappointed last time at Kenilworth and will be giving 2.50kg to Blow Me Away but he could place.
