Cherry Tripper can flash some speed

Jockey Ian Sturgeon may have learnt from that run and Cherry Tripper could be worth a bet in Race 7, a MR 85 Handicap for Fillies and Mares over 1000m on the Greyville Polytrack tonight.

This Dennis Bosch trained filly is 5kg better off with her victor on that occasion Royal Honeymoon so should turn the tables on her. Cherry Tripper had also beaten Royal Honeymoon back in June on the turf at Clairwood.

German Lady found stable companion Rich Girl (recent Ready To Run Cup winner) 1.80 lengths too good for her over the 1200m at this track last time. The drop down to 1000m is not ideal but the Australian import gets the services of Anton Marcus and has pole position draw.

Imperial Faberge is a course and distance winner who is weighted to beat Cherry Tripper but was disappointing in her last start.

The Glen Kotzen yard is in decent form at the moment and Trix Of The Trade is not without a winning chance.
