The Scottsville Sunday race meeting that had been postponed to Monday at the same venue on turf, replacing a Greyville Polytrack meeting that was moved to Friday night at the same venue, has now been moved to the Greyville turf track.
Got it? Do keep up.
The chances of the Scottsville track drying out quickly enough to allow racing one day after the Sunday fixture was washed out were always slim.
To repeat, the original Sunday Scottsville card will be raced on Monday on the Greyville turf. The originally scheduled Monday Greyville Poly card moves to Friday night.
At present, the Thursday Scottsville meeting is still on.
The Scottsville penetrometer reading averaged 31 on Monday morning and a decision was made to decamp from Maritzburg to Durban.
Race times remain as originally carded on Sunday, but some distances have changed. All races at Greyville are run around the bend.
Distance changes:
- Race 1 is now 1000m
- Races 4 and 5 are now 1600m
- Race 6 is now 2000m
The first of nine races is off at noon.
