His closest rivals should include people like Jonathan du Toit (TAR Chev Nova), Hennie Groenewald (SP Racing Mercury Comet), Ferdi van Niekerk Junior(Double F Ford Mustang), Mark du Toit (Chevelle) and Thomas Falkiner (Chev Biscayne).
Behind the big cars, there should be war between Brian Cook (Lotus Cortina), Alan Poulter (Volvo 122F), Roy Prando (Alfa Giulia Sprint) and Rob Gearing (BMW 2002).
v The TAR Pre-1966 Le Mans Sports and GT races should see Ross Lazarus (Lazarus Ford GT40) fighting against Mark du Toit (Lola T70 Spyder), Oliver Dalais (Marlboro Crane Ford GT40), Peter Lindenberg (Lazarus Ford Daytona), Jonathan du Toit (Daytona Coupe), the Ford Cobras of Warren Lombaard and Gary Swan, and the Renault Mpiti of Dennis McBeath.
v Colin Frost (Porsche 917) should be the man to beat in the Consolidated Auctioneers Pre-1984 Sports and GT races.
Chasing him should be Colin Ellison (Chevron B19), Craig Pieterse (Genie Lola T70), Franco Scribante (Porsche RSR), Peter Bailey (Porsche 917), Shayne Frost (Ford GT40), Jonathan du Toit (Chevron B8), Peter Jenkins (Nucleus Chaims Chevron B19) and George Avvakoumides (Ocean Basket Porsche RSR). Tin-top entries should include Carel Pienaar (SP Chev Camaro), Brian Rowlings (Cornrights VW Golf), Theo van Vuuren (BMW 2002) and Pieter Schuman (SP Ford Escort).
v The Marlboro Crane Hire Pre-1977 Saloons will boast a large field headed by the orange Camaro of Andre Diedericks, Willie Hepburn’s Capri Perana, Anton Raaths in his Mazda Coupe and Mike Smidt in his Trans-Am Capri.
Others to watch will include Jannie van Rooyen (Goldwagen VW Scirocco), Djurk Venter (RAM Ford Capri), Jacques Cilliers (SCR Ford Escort), Mike O’Sullivan (BMW 2002), Uli Sanne (BMW 2002) and Johan Prins (Datsun 160U).

v The Pre-1966 Little Giants events will also have full grids, led by the Mini Marcos of Stuart Greig, the MGB of Franco Resca, the Renault Dauphine of Frank Copping, the GSM Dart of Chad ten Doeschate, Keith van Heerden’s Jaguar D-Type, Nick Parrot’s MGB, Marc Miller’s Alfa Giulietta and Ishmail Balloyi’s GSM Dart.
v Running in a handicap formation, the Sabela Marque cars will be a mixed bag. Kobus Brits (Porsche 911R), Kevin Taylor (Ford Capri), Willie Grobler (Lotus 23), Paul Manegold (Alfa Giulia), Mike Grant (Chev CanAm) and Johnny Pienaar (MGB Roadster) could all spray champagne at the end of the day.
