Proteas choose to bat in first ODI against India, Jansen to debut

South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first in the first of three One Day Internationals against India at Boland Park in Paarl on Wednesday.
The Proteas will be led by Temba Bavuma and India by KL Rahul.
Thee teams go into the series on the back of South Africa winning the three-Test series 2-1.
The South African selectors have opted to include Test newcomer Marco Jansen in the side, who’ll be on debut, while Quinton de Kock is also back after announcing his retirement from Test cricket ahead of the India series.
Andile Phehlukwayo will fulfil the all-rounder role.
There is also a debutant in the Indian team, namely Venkatesh Iyer.
