India won the toss at Newlands on Tuesday morning and decided to bat first in the third and final Test against South Africa.
The series is locked at 1-1 after India won the first Test in Centurion and South Africa won the second Test at the Wanderers last week.

India have brought in fast bowler Umesh Yadav for Mohammad Siraj, who is injured, while captain Virat Kohli is back in for Hanuma Vihari, the skipper having missed the second Test because of a back spasm.
South Africa, meanwhile, are unchanged from the Test in Joburg.
It will be hoped that spinner Keshav Maharaj plays a bigger role with the ball in Cape Town after hardly featuring in Joburg, where the South African fast bowlers dominated against India.
