Colin Simpkins new canoeing GM

Simpkins took over the position in an acting capacity in December, following the resignation of Travis Wilkinson.

“We are pleased to announce that Colin has been selected as our new GM,” Canoeing SA president Christo Horn said.

“We received a number of applications for the position and were very impressed by the applicants but we feel we have made the right choice.”

In his role, Simpkins was required to maintain and strengthen relationships with a numberof national bodies including Olympic body Sascoc and to ensure the federation and its unions and clubs utilised their funding to better the sport.
