Beckett vaults into finals
South African gymnast Kirsten Beckett qualified for the vault finals at the Turnier der Meister 2014 Gymworld Challenge Cup in Cottbus, Germany, on Thursday.

She qualified in sixth place with scores of 13,300 and 13,260.
Bianca Mann finished 25th with a score of 9,866.
However, there was disappointment for Claudia Cummins as she injured ligaments in her ankle during her warm-up for the competition.
According to reports from Germany, she will be out for four weeks, which rules her our for the African Gymnastics championships at the University of Pretoria later this month.
The South African men faced stiff competition with Michael Makings and Cameron MacKenzie both finishing in 22nd place on the floor and rings respectively.
The qualifying competition continues on Friday with the finals on Saturday.
