Help the homeless stay warm

As the cold nights of winter approach in the Highveld we are once again more aware of the plight of those who live in less comfortable circumstances than our own.

I speak of course of those who may either live on the streets or in some very basic form of shelter from the elements.

The community of Rosebank, and surrounds, are always so supportive as are the businesses in Rosebank, and most sincere thanks are due to all who have helped in one way or another to assist those in need.

The community collection box is still in the Mall of Rosebank despite the ongoing construction there so that is one place where donations of clothes or blankets can be taken.

The alternative would be to take such items directly to the Immaculata Shelter in Sturdee Avenue, Rosebank ( next door to the Rosebank police station).

So I am appealing to everyone to look in your cupboards and see if there is a spare coat or jacket, jersey or shoes, or other apparel, and to donate such items for those who need it more.

Blankets too are always needed and especially as the nights get colder.

Thank you in advance for your generosity
