The stolen goods were recovered

Quick thinking and swift action from an Apcan Security patroller led to the arrest of a suspect and the recovery of stolen goods.

According to a Facebook post, on 10 February at about 10.53pm, two suspects were seen throwing their loot over the fence at Laerskool Florida in order to ensure a quick getaway.

However, they were seen by a Florida resident, who notified the company’s control centre. When the area’s rapid response team arrived on the scene, the two suspects fled. While the one suspect was trying to jump over a wall to get away, he was grabbed and apprehended by the security officer.

The stolen goods, among them thirteen chairs, were also recovered.

The suspect, together with the stolen goods, was handed over to a police officer who performed the arrest and took him into custody.
