Photos: Petrol leads to taxi blaze

Traffic brought to a standstill.

Traffic on 14th Avenue came to a near standstill last night when a taxi caught fire.

According to the Record’s daily newspaper The Citizen, the taxi owner, Robert Neguyuni said the incident took place when the taxi ran out of fuel and the driver refuelled it from a container. When he tried to start the taxi it burst into flames.

Johannesburg’s Emergency Management Services (EMS) was on the scene to extinguish the fire. No one was injured during the incident.
