Sibusiso and René win bodybuilding competition

Competitors show some muscle

SECUNDA – The International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) Mpumalanga, hosted a bodybuilding competition at the Sasol Recreation Club in Secunda recently.

Sibusiso Bheme was the winner among the men under 23 weighing over 75kg.

In the women’s beach bikini up to 163cm category, Cheryldene Jonck was the winner with Melanie Jacobs finishing second and Nokwethu Kubhayi third.

In the women’s beach bikini over 163cm, René Malyon walked away as the winner with Je’Zelle Kruger finishing second and Jacqueline Schoonwinkel finishing third.

Lucky Ntshalintshali won the men’s classic bodybuilding category and Nokwethu Kubhayi won the woman’s wellness fitness category.

Ephias Mkutchwa walked away as the winner in the men’s athletic physique category, while Joseph Mojalefa finished second, Afrika Maluleka third, Ockert Venter fourth and Thokozani Sikhosana fifth.

Mandla Maseko was the best in the senior men under 80kg category and Mthokozisi Mokoena was the best in the senior men over 90kg category.

Jacobs also won the women’s bikini fitness up to 163cm category.

Bheme is the overall winner among the men and Malyon among the women.

The organisers of the competition thanked Sasol, Spectacular Events and FitGen for their support.

With each competition, the IFBB Mpumalanga, needs sponsors to continue.
