EVANDER – Walker Park Golf Club recently played host to Laerskool Trichardt’s 19th annual golf day.
The golfers played in teams of two in a Better Ball Competition.
The winners were Hennie De Lange and Pam Botha with a total of 51 points.
Close behind them was Daan Naude and Clara Smit with 50 points.
Sandra Spies walked away with a prize for hitting her ball closest to the pin for the day.
The longest drive of the day prize was awarded to Monique van Wyk.
Last year the school managed to raise R450 000 and excitedly believed that they will raise even more this year.
It usually takes up to two weeks for the school to pay all the service providers and finalise the amount raised.
Gifts to the value of R70 000 were donated from local and national sponsors for prize-giving.
The school thanked all the sponsors who contributed to make the day a success. The money raised will go into improving the school where needed.
