SAKHILE – The Lekwa Football Association (LFA) held a prize-giving ceremony for the club that finished first in the Promotion League last Sunday.
Living Destiny United (LD) Football Club proceeded to the regional plays-off after being first.
The team was given a trophy and players received medals.
Mr Novemba Hadebe, chairman of the LFA, said they will host a prize-giving ceremony for all the clubs that participated in the league at Leseli Combined School on 27 April.
The event will begin at 5pm.
Mr Novemba also said the association is planning to host a mayoral tournament.
They invited all the teams in Lekwa, even those not affiliated, to attend a meeting at Impumelelo Centre (next to Motswako) in Sakhile on 2 May. The Lekwa Development League fixture will continue next week.
