Radio station holds auditions

Local organisation to hold auditions for a community radio station.

A community radio station named Sakha FM will be broadcasting live for the first time from Thandanani day care centre on 14 February.

This is a project of the Sakhasonke Youth Development Organisation.

With their project Kgotatso they will also be donating toys to the centre, in partnership with Shoprite.

“We decided to dedicate Valentine’s Day to the children and not focus on our personal relationships,” Mr Mphikeleli Hlatshwayo, chairman of Sakhasonke, said.

They will be running auditions as well for people who want to be radio presenters.

“The audio that will be recorded will be available on www.sakhafm.co.za,” Mr Hlatshwayo also said.

The community is invited to attend this event and more donations are welcomed.

For more information contact Mr Hlatshwayo at 083 886 8278.
