Christmas classics in Centurion

Guests were treated to a free wine tasting from selected wines for sale at cellar prices during the event.

The Pretoria Symphony Orchestra had its fourth concert at the Leriba hotel in Centurion on Sunday afternoon.

Schalk van der Merwe conducted the favourite Christmas carols concert, with the large crowd around Leriba hotel’s indigenous gardens sometimes joining in to sing along to the melodies.

Van der Merwe said with each and every performance at the Leriba hotel, the crowd got bigger showing the orchestra was doing something right and hopefully the next concert would attract an even greater number of guests.

Light showers threatened to dampen the fun but soon gave way to a relaxed afternoon.

Van der Merwe gave a few guests a chance to conduct their favourite carols, and some guests won prizes in the orchestra quiz.
