It has taken Roger Sikhakhane just less than 24 hours to find a new job after officially parting ways with Chippa United.

Sikhakhane was unfairly suspended by Chippa over two months ago on suspicion that he had come to training reeking of alcohol. On Tuesday,  a labour court ruled in favour of Sikhakhane and ordered Chippa to pay him his dues.

Although Sikhakhane refused to confirm nor deny that he has started work at National First Division (NFD) side, Thanda Royal Zulu, sources close to him have informed Phakaaathi that indeed he is Amabhubesi’s new mentor.

“He had put off Thanda for a long time because he felt it would be unprofessional of him to start a new job while the case against Chippa was unresolved. He was excited yesterday that the court ruled in his favour and that he can now start a new chapter in his career,” said the source.

It is Sikhakhane’s second stint at the struggling KwaZulu-Natal team.
